SCORES of Walsall families defied miserable weather to enjoy an annual barbecue and raise cash for Birmingham Children's Hospital Birmingham Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust manage the central Birmingham hospital now also known as The Diana, Princess of Wales Children's Hospital, which provides general and emergency health care services to children in Birmingham, the West Midlands and beyond. .

Residents of Cavendish Gardens and Bloxwich Lane, Beechdale, turned out for the event in Cavendish Gardens. They enjoyed beef burgers, hot dogs and drinks, and a cake stall satisfied those with a sweet tooth.

There was musical entertainment from a street organ and some guests danced in the marquee.

The barbecue and was organised by residents Graham Tuckley and Bob Wynn Robert "Bob" Wynn (January 27, 1940 – May 18, 2005) was an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour.
