Barbara Loeb.ACEI is saddened to report that longtime ACEI member Barbara Loeb, of New Orleans, Louisiana, has passed away. Loeb has been described as a pioneer of early childhood education. She was the founder of Children's Place Preschool. Loeb began her career teaching in New Orleans public schools New Orleans Public Schools is a public school district that serves all of New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The school district is governed by the Orleans Parish School Board. . She went on to start preschool programs at Louise S. McGhee School and the Gates of Prayer Synagogue.
