Barbara Lavelle.CLINTON - Barbara A. (Sargent) Lavelle, 81, died Monday, July 6, in Bolton Manor Nursing Center, Marlboro, after an illness. Her husband of 37 years, Peter F. Lavelle, died in 1994. She is survived by a son, Kevin J. Lavelle, of Clinton; three grandchildren, Timothy Baird of Clinton, Stacy Baird of Fitchburg, and Christopher Lavelle of New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of ; a brother, James Sargent of Clinton; two sisters, Mary Lyons Mary-Jo Wormell (b. 1947), well-know as Mary Lyons was a popular British writer of 45 romance novels in Mills & Boon from 1983 to 2001. Mary-Jo Wormell along with two other prolific Mills & Boon authors launched Heartline Publishing on 14th February 2001. of Boylston, and A. Lorraine Bryce of Lancaster. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela A. Baird, who died in 2008, and two brothers, Ralph and Robert Sargent. Mrs. Lavelle was born and raised in Clinton, the daughter of Ralph O. and Ann M. (Tierney) Sargent, and attended local schools. For many years, she worked for the former Ames and Zayres Department Store Warehouses. Previously, she was employed by the former Van Brode Co. and Colonial Press Inc. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and a former member of its Mother's Club. She was both a Cub Scout Den Mother den mother n. A woman who supervises a den of Cub Scouts.
