She is survived by a son, Bryan Lantz of Chatham; a brother, David Lantz of Newark, Ohio Newark is a city in Licking County, Ohio, United States, 33 miles (53 km) east of Columbus, at the junction of the forks of the Licking River. In 1890, 14,270 people lived in Newark, Ohio; in 1900, 18,157; in 1910, 25,404; in 1920, 27,718; and in 1940, 31,487. ; three nephews; and her companion, Ronald Fogg. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Paul and Ethel (Stohlberg) Lantz. She was educated in Shrewsbury and Princeton schools and graduated from Wachusett Regional High School Wachusett Regional High School (abbv. WRHS) is located in Holden, Massachusetts and services the Wachusett Regional School District founded in 1955. The WRSD comprises Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, and Sterling.  in Holden. She attended the University of Massachusetts The system includes UMass Amherst, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth (affiliated with Cape Cod Community College), UMass Lowell, and the UMass Medical School. It also has an online school called UMassOnline.  at Amherst. She was very proud of her Swedish heritage and enjoyed Swedish cooking and handicrafts. During the 1970s, Barbara won numerous sports car rallies behind the wheel of her 1966 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk. III.

From the mid-1960s on, she worked in a variety of computer-related jobs for Sprague Electric, Worcester; Colonial Press, Clinton; the City of Worcester; and Digital Equipment Corp., Northboro. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church United Methodist Church, in the United States, religious body formed by the union in 1968 of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Methodist Church (see Methodism). , Worcester and a member of the Vasa Order of America Founded in 1896 at the height of Swedish immigration to the United States, the Vasa Order of America is a Swedish-American fraternal order for Scandinavian-American families and their descendants. It is named for the House of Vasa, the historic kings of Sweden. , Nordic Lodge No. 611.

A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2007 in Epworth United Methodist Church, 64 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will be in Peoples Cemetery, Chatham, at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 64 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St, Holden is directing arrangements.
