Barbara L. (Cross) Cummings, 79.


MARLBOROUGH Barbara L. (Cross) Cummings, 79, died Thursday, May 21, 2009 in Bolton Manor Nursing home following an illness.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Frank M. Cummings of Marlborough; her son, Philip Rogers and his wife, Janet, of Northborough; her brother, Arnold Cross and his wife, Helen, of Marlborough; her sister, Doris Kline and her husband, Eugene, of Marlborough; four grandchildren, Elizabeth French and her husband, Kevin, Jennifer Rogers, Andrew Rogers

Rogers, Jr. who died in 1985. Born and raised in Marlboro, she was the daughter of the late Bennett E. and Olive M. (Cleversey) Cross. Barbara lived in Northborough for 15 years before moving back to Marlborough in 1983.

Barbara is a 1947 graduate of Marlboro High School Marlboro High School, home of the Mustangs, is a four-year comprehensive public high school located within Marlboro Township, New Jersey, and is part of the Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD). The school served 2,238 students in the 2005-06 school year. . . She then went onto Nursing School, graduating from Clinton Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. During Barbara's nursing career she worked at Worcester City Hospital and several Boston Hospitals. She was a cancer survivor since 1956. Barbara was an avid candlepin can·dle·pin
