Barbara Friedman Yaksic authors chapter for ABA publication.


CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 21, 1996--Barbara Friedman Yaksic, a partner with the law firm of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff, was the author of a chapter in the newly published Antitrust Practice Guide of the American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law .

"Business Torts & Unfair Competition, A Practitioner's Handbook," serves as a practical guide to the substantive and procedural issues that frequently arise in business tort and unfair competition litigation An action brought in court to enforce a particular right. The act or process of bringing a lawsuit in and of itself; a judicial contest; any dispute.

When a person begins a civil lawsuit, the person enters into a process called litigation.
. The goal of the handbook is to make this developing area of the law more accessible to antitrust and non-antitrust practitioners alike.

Yaksic's litigation practice encompasses business torts and other business disputes, contracts, antitrust and class actions. She serves as a Trustee of the Cleveland Bar Association and as the former chair of the Association's Commission on Women in the Law.
