Barack Obama Backs Kazakhstan.ASTANA, Kazakhstan -- On Tuesday evening Kazakhstan's President Nazarbayev received a telephone call from US President Elect, Barack Obama. President Nazarbayev congratulated Mr. Obama on his election victory and wished him every success for the challenges ahead. The Kazakh Head of State spoke of the mutually beneficial Adj. 1. mutually beneficial - mutually dependent interdependent, mutualist dependent - relying on or requiring a person or thing for support, supply, or what is needed; "dependent children"; "dependent on moisture" relations between Kazakhstan and the US, especially in the energy sphere.
