Generally, a tehsil consists of a city or town that serves as its headquarters Bara of Khyber Agency. Security forces had launched an operation against militants on September 1 after imposing curfew curfew [O.Fr.,=cover fire], originally a signal, such as the ringing of a bell, to damp the fire, extinguish all lights in the dwelling, and retire for the night. The custom originated as a precaution against fires and was common throughout Europe in the Middle Ages. . More then 70 militants were killed and 107 arrested during seven-day operation whereas 65 hideouts were destroyed. Security forces handed over the control of check posts to Khasadar Force after eliminating the pickets. However, a remote controlled bomb has detonated near security forces vehicle in Bara injuring four security men. The blast created the panic in Bara Bazar after which the bazaar has been closed once again after few hours of opening. An operation has started in the area for the search suspect persons.
