Bar soap with UV protection.U.S. Patent No. 7,569,210 B2; Jamie Collins Doss of Santa Fe, NM has patented a bar soap that provides UV protection through normal use of washing and rinsing as well as therapeutic and restorative properties. It contains a natural soap base for cleaning the skin; titanium dioxide and zinc oxide zinc oxide, chemical compound, ZnO, that is nearly insoluble in water but soluble in acids or alkalies. It occurs as white hexagonal crystals or a white powder commonly known as zinc white. for providing protection against UV rays, wherein zinc oxide and titanium oxide are present in approximately 2:1 ratio, respectively, by weight; chlorophyll, lemon juice, balm of Gilead balm of Gilead (gĭl`ēəd), name for several plants belonging to different taxonomic families. The historic Old World balm of Gilead, or Mecca balsam, is a small evergreen tree (Commiphora gileadensis, also once called C. , aloe vera aloe veran. 1. A species of aloe (Aloe vera) native to the Mediterranean region. 2. The mucilaginous juice or gel obtained from the leaves of this plant, used in pharmaceutical preparations for its soothing and healing , vitamins, olive oil, minerals and amino acids. The balm of Gilead, chlorophyll, olive oil, aloe vera and lemon juice are present in a ratio of 1:2:1:1:3 proportions, respectively.
