Mr. Shencavitz came to Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in 1998 and served as SVP, Operations and Technology until 2001 when he moved into his current position. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Shencavitz was a Managing Director at the former Banknorth Group, Inc., a $3.5 billion, multi state, bank holding company headquartered in Burlington, Vermont. He began his career in public accounting at the Long Island, New York office of KPMG Peat Marwick.
