Published by the Graphic Communications Association (GCA GCA, ground-controlled approach: see instrument-landing system. ), GIBC/2 specifies bar coding and labeling of all printing process consumables other than paper, including film, proofing materials, plates, blankets, ink and pressroom chemistry. NAGASA endorses use of GIBC GIBC Generalized Impedance Boundary Condition for all graphic arts consumable products other than paper that are distributed through the graphic arts and imaging channel. The 21-page document includes text and graphics that describe: primary and secondary GIBC bar code structures and formats; orientation and placement of symbols on packages; and tips on using GIBC effectively.
