Bar Board re-endorses Uniform Title Standards.

At the Request of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Bar Board of Governors has re-endorsed the Florida Uniform Title Standards.

RPPTL Chair Sandra Diamond told the board in December that the standards have been published since 1975 and are used for reference in the Florida Association of Realtors/Bar Contract for Sale and Purchase of property and are the standard for determining marketable title in Florida. Those standards have always carried the imprimatur of the Bar, she said.

However, the documentation for the Bar's original endorsement of the standards has been lost, so she requested the board to readopt them.

The board did, with a unanimous vote.
