Vignette Corp. (Nasdaq:VIGN VIGN Vignette Corporation (stock abbreviation, AMEX) ), the leading provider of integrated content management applications, today announced that Baptist Health Systems of South Florida has selected the Vignette(R) Enterprise Application Portal (VEAP VEAP Veterans Educational Assistance Program ) to power its main Web site, http://www.baptisthealth.net.

Baptist, South Florida's largest not-for-profit healthcare organization, will use VEAP to redesign its flagship Web site as part of its e-health strategy of linking patients, hospitals, physicians, payers, pharmacies, suppliers and laboratories via the Internet to improve the delivery of patient care services and access to healthcare information.

With VEAP, Baptist will leverage Vignette's expertise in the areas of content management, integration and analysis to deploy an enterprise-level portal that will enable Baptist to increase awareness on healthcare issues by providing each visitor with highly relevant information delivered to any device. For example, users will have access to an enhanced calendar, where they will be able to register for classes and see detailed information on upcoming events and seminars.

With the planned migration of intranet content to the VEAP framework, Baptist plans to take advantage of collaboration and knowledge management tools provided by VEAP.
