Baptist Health System to Implement MedAssets' Entire Portfolio of Products and Services; Agreement Includes Group Purchasing, Supply Chain Analytics and Technology, Revenue Cycle Management and Decision Support Technology.


ATLANTA -- MedAssets, Inc. announced today that Baptist Health System (BHS BHS

The multi-year, enterprise agreement is effective August 1, 2006.

BHS will utilize the full capabilities of MedAssets Supply Chain Systems and MedAssets Analytical Systems for supply chain management. These capabilities include item file data conditioning and proprietary technology to improve on-contract spending, ensure the contract price is paid, and guide decision making to maximize cost savings.

MedAssets Net Revenue Systems is currently providing BHS hospitals with chargemaster monitoring and maintenance, charge capture auditing and comparative rate modeling technology and services and will continue these services under the new enterprise agreement. CrossWalk(TM), MedAssets' tool to link the supply item master to the chargemaster, will be added to ensure charges accurately cover costs for all patient identifiable supplies with a defensible de·fen·si·ble
