Banyu Pharmaceutical Announces Subanalysis of J-LIT, Large-scale Clinical Trials of Anti-hyperlipidemic Agent LIPOVAS.Tokyo, Japan, June 26, 2006 - (JCN) - Banyu Pharmaceutical recently published the results of the Japan Lipid Intervention Trial (J-LIT J-LIT Japan Lipid Intervention Trial (study of effect of statins drug on LDL cholesterol) ), large-scale clinical trials of LIPOVAS, its proprietary anti-hyperlipidemic agent, in Circulation Journal (Vol.70, No.7), an academic and professional publication of the Japanese Circulation Society. In the article, the company presents the results from the subanalysis of J-LIT, showing that the incidence of coronary events was lower in female subjects than male subjects.
