A scripting, or script, language may be a general-purpose programming language or it may be limited to specific functions used to augment the running of an for creating new agent actions, delivering unmatched flexibility and power in managing information. For example, many managers spend hours each month compiling expense reports, purchase orders, invoices and check requests for month-end budget summaries. Now, staff members can use BeyondMail to submit expense items, which are then automatically routed to the manager for approval and to the accounts payable department. At the end of each month, BeyondMail Professional 3.0 can collect all of the expense information and embed it into an e-mail message that is sent to the manager, who can launch a spreadsheet directly from the mail message to display the expense totals.
