With this new version of BeyondMail Remote, remote users realize the benefits of BeyondMail 2.0's tight integration with Banyan's Intelligent Messaging III and StreetTalk Global Directory enterprise services.

The enhanced performance and management capabilities provided in the third generation of Intelligent Messaging ensure the efficient, reliable and secure transport of messages across the extended organization.

"A critical element of Banyan's strategy is to deliver the full benefits of our enterprise messaging solutions to the extended enterprise -- the growing universe of travelers and telecommuters who require easy and efficient access to resources, information and people in the organization," said Mary Patterson, vice president and general manager of Banyan's messaging business unit.

This allows the remote user to focus on the most important and relevant work while traveling, making maximum use of his dial-in connection, and save less time-sensitive work for later.

"Our entire organization -- from sales and marketing to IT -- relies heavily on electronic mail to share ideas and mission-critical information," said Brian Heppner, network analyst at Cott Corp., a Toronto-based manufacturer of retail brand food products.

"With at least 100 employees on the road at any time, we need state-of-the-art messaging technology that lets our remote users communicate with the rest of the company as efficiently as if they were on the network.

"With BeyondMail Remote, our remote users can access the information they most urgently need, store lower priority messages for later, as well as route documents throughout the organization using automated, email-enabled workflow."
