: BNYN BNYN ePresence (stock symbol; formerly known as Banyan) ) today announced that Scott G. Silk has been named senior vice president of marketing and business development. Silk brings more than 19 years of experience in high technology sales and marketing to Banyan.

Silk, 41, will oversee Banyan's marketing and business development initiatives on a global basis. This will include responsibilities for corporate marketing, product and services marketing Services marketing is marketing based on relationship and value. It may be used to market a service or a product.

Marketing a service-base business is different from marketing a product-base business.

Prior to joining Banyan, Silk was most recently president of North American Operations North American operation Surgical oncology Radical surgery of a 'frozen pelvis', consisting of radical en bloc resection of the uterus and urinary bladder. Silk's experience includes an extensive career of taking on progressively more responsible positions in sales, marketing and general management at companies including Unisys Corporation, Ally Software, Inc. and USoft - both Unisys companies and Actium Corporation. Silk holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University Ohio State University, main campus at Columbus; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1870, opened 1873 as Ohio Agricultural and Mechanical College, renamed 1878.
