Banquet marks St George's Day.

SUNRISE, a residential and dementia care community on Wergs Road, Tettenhall, got into the medieval spirit for a St George's Day celebration.

Residents and staff welcomed local people to a medieval-style banquet to mark the story of England's patron saint whilst at the same time raising vital funds for St Michael of All Angels Church of Tettenhall.

Diners tucked into a banquet lunch (right), complete with all the traditional medieval trimmings in the main hall, which was decked out in the style of the feudal age.

Guests listened to pre-renaissance music, performed live by a professional harpist, with a court jester providing entertainment later.
