 and high-net-worth private clients.

In 1998, Banque Worms began considering eBusiness solutions that would enable sales professionals to continue to offer personalized service, even as the number of private banking customers continued to grow. Sales representatives typically interacted with customers by phone, mail, or face-to-face, and because customer records had been maintained in local, disparate systems, sales professionals relied on frequent phone calls and emails to stay abreast of customer activity. Banque Worms executives recognized that minimal insight into customers' histories also limited opportunities to sell across service categories; the bank therefore chose to expand its eBusiness initiative to all of its divisions to more efficiently sell to, market to and support its corporate, institutional investor and private banking client base.

By standardizing on Siebel eFinance, Banque Worms will create a single, multichannel Using two or more paths for transmission or processing. It can refer to a variety of architectures including (1) multiple I/O channels between the CPU and peripheral devices, (2) multiple wires in a cable, (3) multiple "logical" channels within a single wire or fiber or (4) multiple  customer information management system that will enable sales and marketing teams to capture customer interactions and work seamlessly across multiple channels -- whether phone, fax, Web, or in-person. Sales professionals will be able to share vital customer data, and collaborate efficiently to respond to national and foreign customers without delays. Marketing representatives will be able to gain insight into customer preferences and target promotions accurately, as well as monitor results and adjust campaigns to improve response rates.

In addition, Siebel eFinance will provide Banque Worms sales representatives a comprehensive view of each customer across product lines. This comprehensive customer view will enable sales professionals to cross-sell and up-sell products appropriate to individual customers' financial goals and existing portfolios, ensuring personalized service and increasing customer satisfaction.

"Banque Worms' highly customized service has spurred the growth of our private banking division, and we sought to extend that hallmark service to our corporate and investment banking customer base. We found Siebel Systems' commitment to customer satisfaction both compelling and valuable, and were further persuaded by Siebel Systems' extraordinary reputation for 100 percent customer satisfaction among global companies," said Frederic de Pelleport, assistant general manager of Banque Worms.

"Furthermore, Banque Worms' evaluation of a range of eBusiness products revealed that Siebel eFinance's robust, flexible technology surpassed the capabilities of other solutions developed for French banks to capture customer interactions across product lines. We anticipate that our implementation will not only improve our response to customers' needs, but also increase our productivity -- so significantly that we expect to recoup recoup
