Business Editors and High-Tech Writers

SANTA ANA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 2001

New Horizons Computer Learning Centers Inc., a subsidiary of New Horizons Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq:NEWH), has completed a banner year for global expansion in 2000 as the world's largest independent computer training company now has 280 centers in 44 countries.

In 2000, the company added 38 international locations and opened centers in six new countries, including Pakistan, Qatar, Jamaica, Colombia, Bolivia and Israel. In North America, New Horizons opened 27 new locations. One of the year's milestones occurred with the November opening of New Horizons' 100th international training center in Frankfurt, Germany.

"The intent of our international expansion has always been to offer the widest variety of training choices and the most consistent, quality delivery worldwide," said Robert Shaw, senior vice president of international operations.

"The recent opening of our 100th international location is strong testimony that our business model allows our new locations to provide IT training on the latest software, network and Internet technologies through multiple-delivery methods and formats."

"Since Frankfurt is considered Germany's financial center," Gutsche said, "we expect this to be a most promising site for New Horizons and a welcome challenge for our team."

In 2000, New Horizons awarded master franchise rights to China, Ecuador, Israel and Central America.

"Our master franchise model provides rapid expansion opportunities for our master license holders," Shaw said. "In the first quarter of 2001, we plan to open centers in eight countries, including Bangladesh, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Greece, Honduras and Oman."
