Two West Boylston residents were named to the spring dean's list at the University of New Hampshire New Hampshire, one of the New England states of the NE United States. It is bordered by Massachusetts (S), Vermont, with the Connecticut R. forming the boundary (W), the Canadian province of Quebec (NW), and Maine and a short strip of the Atlantic Ocean (E). : Alissa Marchant received high honors and Christopher Lowell received honors.

Michael Vrolyk, of Boylston, a senior majoring in general biology, was named to the spring dean's list at Western New England College Western New England College is a private, independent, coeducational college founded in 1919. Located on a classical 215 acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, the College serves approximately 4,000 students on its main campus and at six satellite sites within .

Matthew Kooyomjian, of West Boylston, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Dean College in Franklin.

The following students were recently named to the dean's list at the University of Massachusetts The system includes UMass Amherst, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth (affiliated with Cape Cod Community College), UMass Lowell, and the UMass Medical School. It also has an online school called UMassOnline.  at Amherst: Catherine Martin, Evelyn Slik, Rachel Smith, and Timothy Humphrey, of Boylston; and Alaina Moorefield, Jillian O'Connor, Joseph Sherblom, Kimberly Marshall, Madeleine Bonneau, and Rachel Bidgood, of West Boylston.

Luke Dewolfe, of Boylston, graduated from Georgia Southern University Georgia Southern University, established 1906, is a regional university located in Statesboro, Georgia, USA, and part of the University System of Georgia. It is the largest center of higher education in the southern half of Georgia and is the sixth largest institution in the  with a bachelor's degree in business administration, majoring in finance/real estate.

Mishka Long, of West Boylston, recently graduated from the practical nursing program at Assabet Valley Regional Technical School.

Catherine Martin, of Boylston, and Kimberly Marshall, of West Boylston, recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with bachelor's degrees.

Ryan Herrick, of Boylston, was recently named to the dean's list at Framingham State College Framingham State College, at Framingham, Mass.; chartered 1838, opened 1839 at Lexington, moved to Framingham 1853, a normal school until 1930. Formerly known as the Massachusetts State Teachers College, it adopted its present name in 1960. .

Collin Myers, of West Boylston, son of Jeanne Comstock, of West Boylston, was recently named to the dean's list at Ithaca College.

Paula Verducci, of Boylston, put her best foot forward on Sunday, Sept. 13, to raise money for cancer care and research in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. She, along with 100 other members from eight states, walked as a part of team "Kira's Kruisers," which honored 7-year-old Kira Corning, of Dover. Kira is being treated at the Jimmy Fund Clinic in Boston for three inoperable inoperable /in·op·er·a·ble/ (in-op´er-ah-b'l) not susceptible to treatment by surgery.

Army Pfc. Sara J. Fardy has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Jane Callahan of West Boylston.

Sonja Kent, of West Boylston, was recently awarded with the Renssalaer Medal from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. This awards incoming students with a $60,000 scholarship.
