Later this year, William S. Hein & Co. (Buffalo, NY) will publish "Bankruptcy Reform: The Legislative History of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005," a 25-volume set available in both print and DVD formats. The set includes the law in its final form, as well as a complete legislative chronology, bibliography, master table of documents, and report on the law, plus the Congressional Record, other bill versions, related hearings, and all other pertinent documents associated with the controversial new law. It will include in-depth coverage of those provisions of the Act affecting individuals, including the imposition of a "means" test and the lengthening of the repayment schedule under Chapter 13 from three to five years, as well as those provisions affecting corporations. It will also cover tax liens, abusive creditor practices, protection for family farmers and asset shields. The pre-publication for the new set is $2495.
