Banking on doing the double - again.

FUND-RAISING mum Glynis Vinicombe has joined forces with Matthew Smith, a teacher at Coventry's Woodlands School, to launch a grand draw in aid of extra sports and leisure activities.

Mrs Vinicombe, who lives in Hinckley Road, Walsgrave, says she is happy to spearhead the campaign because as an employee of Barclays Bank in Westwood Park, everything she raises is automatically doubled by her employers.

She said: "My son Lawrence attends the school and last year I raised pounds 350 which was doubled to pounds 700 for extra equipment.

"We are hoping to do just as well this year and have already been given some good prizes like travel vouchers from Harry Shaw, tickets to the Belgrade Theatre and meals out."
