FUND-RAISING mum Glynis Vinicombe has joined forces with Matthew Smith Matthew Smith may refer to:

, a teacher at Coventry's Woodlands School There is a number of schools called Woodlands School or similar names:

  • The Woodlands School
  • Woodlands Ring Secondary School
  • Woodlands School, Aberdeen
  • Woodlands School, Coventry
  • Woodlands School, Essex
, to launch a grand draw in aid of extra sports and leisure activities.

Mrs Vinicombe, who lives in Hinckley Road, Walsgrave, says she is happy to spearhead the campaign because as an employee of Barclays Bank in Westwood Park, everything she raises is automatically doubled by her employers.

She said: "My son Lawrence attends the school and last year I raised pounds 350 which was doubled to pounds 700 for extra equipment.

"We are hoping to do just as well this year and have already been given some good prizes like travel vouchers from Harry Shaw, tickets to the Belgrade Theatre The Belgrade Theatre is a live performance venue seating 866 and situated in Coventry, England. It was the first civic theatre to be built after the second world war in Britain and as such was more than a place of entertainment.  and meals out."

Anyone who wants to donate more prizes or to buy pounds 1-a-strip raffle tickets, can contact Mr Smith at the school on 024 7646 2634.
