BankFirst Opens Townsend Office, Kerr Serving as Manager.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 2000

BankFirst Corporation (Nasdaq:BKFR) (www.bankfirst.net) announced today the opening of its new BankFirst Townsend Office. This is the locally-based community bank's fourth office in Blount County Blount County is the name of two counties in the United States:
  • Blount County, Alabama
  • Blount County, Tennessee

Charlyse Kerr will serve as Branch Manager for the Townsend location. Kerr has over 30 years of banking experience, most recently serving as Branch Manager and Loan Officer for Barnett Bank Barnett Bank, founded in 1877, eventually became the largest commercial bank in Florida. It was purchased by NationsBank in 1997, but even before signs on Barnett's branches were changed, NationsBank merged with BankAmerica Corp., creating Bank of America.  in Florida. She is a graduate of Daytona Beach Community College Daytona Beach College is a two year college located in Daytona Beach, Florida in the United States. Known for its photography and nursing programs, the school now offers two four year bachelor degrees in nursing and Management Information Services. , as well as the Florida School of Banking and the American Institute of Banking.
