BankBoston Hires Worldwide Director of Technology and Domestic Operations.BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1998--BankBoston today announced the appointment of Joseph Smialowski to the newly created position of executive vice president, Technology and Operations. In this capacity, he will be responsible for all technology for the corporation on a worldwide basis, as well as all domestic operations. Smialowski will join BankBoston on Dec. 1, report to Vice Chairman Bradford H. Warner, and become a member of the company's Executive Management Group.
