iRecherche platform provides automated payment transaction

handling using Systinet WASP Server for Java

Bank-Verlag, the leading service provider for the German private banking industry, today announced it selected Systinet WASP Server for Java for its iRecherche system, used for the automatic handling of investigations for payment transactions. Bank-Verlag will leverage Systinet's Web services technology and SOAP as part of a query system to help identify unsuccessful Web services-based wire transfers and their causes.

Bank Verlag GmbH is a subsidiary of the Association of German Banks, which represents 247 private commercial banks, including Commerzbank AG, Deutsche Bank AG, and Dresdner Bank AG. The iRecherche system supports these banks by handling investigation requests for lost, misplaced or unresolved payment transactions, such as checks and wire transfers. Participating banks can view incoming requests and manage outgoing requests, with Bank-Verlag's iRecherche platform acting as the central database system. iRecherche handles all incoming requests, routes them to the appropriate recipient, and allows for status tracking.

Bank-Verlag chose Systinet WASP Server for Java because of its high interoperability, ease of use, and standards compliance. Bank-Verlag's iRecherche platform is implemented as a J2EE application, while WASP handles all Web services requests. The design of the bank's user interface is common to existing interface designs in the banking industry, and also mirrors most Web services interfaces, providing a seamless end user experience.
