Bank taps C&W to manage portfolio.

Wachovia Bank N.A. has retained Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. to manage its Atlantic Regional portfolio, announced Don Cook, managing director. The portfolio includes 30 office and data center locations totaling 3.2 million square feet throughout the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut tri-state area.

Robert Sweeney, a director based in Cushman & Wakefield's East Rutherford, N.J., office, will oversee facilities management for the Wachovia portfolio. Cook, also based in East Rutherford; Frank Freda, based in New York City; Larry Conlon of the firm's Stamford, Conn. operation; and Joe Schechtel, based in McLean, Va.; were involved in procuring the assignment.

Cushman & Wakefield has a longstanding relationship with Wachovia, one of the nation's largest diversified financial services companies. Prior to the Atlantic Regional appointment, the firm managed four locations totaling approximately 730,000 square feet in North Carolina.
