Bank signs 20-year Norwalk land lease.


Commerce Bank of New Jersey has signed a 20-year land lease at 437 Westport Avenue in Norwalk, CT, and will build a new branch on the site.

This transaction represents HK Group's fourth Commerce Bank deal. The first was an early 2005 sale of land and building in Fairfield for reconstruction as a Commerce branch. The second was a mid-2005 20-year land lease to build a Commerce branch on a pad in the Super Stop & Shop parking lot at 380 Main Avenue in Norwalk.

Flayhan brokered HK's third Commerce transaction in late 2005 with a 20-year land lease at 25-35 Boston Post Road The Boston Post Road was a system of roads from New York City to Boston, Massachusetts, containing some of the first major highways in the United States. It began as a path to deliver the post using post riders (the first ride to lay out the Upper Post Road starting January 22,  in Darien.
