Bank of the Ozarks Announces Agreement to Purchase Marshall Branch of Superior Federal Bank.LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1998--Bank of the Ozarks, Inc. Established in 1971 by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), NASDAQ is an automated quotation system that reports on : OZRK) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement for the purchase of the Marshall branch of Superior Federal Bank, F.S.B. The acquisition will include the branch bank building and related assets, which will include all deposits and certain loans. Marshall is the county seat and largest community in Searcy County. Bank of the Ozarks will acquire more than 3,000 deposit accounts, totaling approximately $17.3 million in deposits. The bank plans to keep all Superior employees, so customers can expect a smooth transition.
