Bank of the Ozarks Announces Agreement to Purchase Marshall Branch of Superior Federal Bank.

: OZRK) today announced the signing of a definitive agreement for the purchase of the Marshall branch of Superior Federal Bank, F.S.B. The acquisition will include the branch bank building and related assets, which will include all deposits and certain loans. Marshall is the county seat and largest community in Searcy County.

Bank of the Ozarks will acquire more than 3,000 deposit accounts, totaling approximately $17.3 million in deposits. The bank plans to keep all Superior employees, so customers can expect a smooth transition.

Superior customers will receive more information about enhanced services Enhanced service is service offered over commercial carrier transmission facilities used in interstate communications, that employs computer processing applications that act on the format, content, code, protocol, or similar aspects of the subscriber's transmitted information;  and other benefits in June. Pending regulatory approval, the acquisition is expected to be completed in approximately 90 days.
