Bank of Tennessee Implements VSoft's Remote Capture Solutions.

eDesk Solutions Eliminate Geographic Barriers, Cut Costs

Bank of Tennessee is a locally owned and operated financial institution serving Davidson, Sullivan, Washington, and Unicoi Counties with an eleven-branch network. Using the eDesk solution, Bank of Tennessee will capture check images at remote locations rather than physically transporting them to their central back office.

In addition, we have reduced much of our back-office work and have introduced same-day funds availability for our commercial clients."

Branch personnel use small scanners to capture the item's data and image. As checks are imaged and captured throughout the day, the images and MICR data are sent electronically to Bank of Tennessee's central location. The VSoft Archive solution enables bank employees to research images for all checks captured at specific branch locations and provides access to reports generated.

Merchant Capture enables Bank of Tennessee's corporate customers to capture deposits at their location and send them electronically, eliminating the need to drive to the bank to make a

deposit. Corporate customers use a low speed scanner to capture the check images and transfer

the images and data to the bank through a secure transmission. Businesses can consolidate their deposits into a single preferred financial institution, averting any geographic dependency. Funds become available sooner as personnel can simply scan the checks as they receive them.

Using eDesk Genesis software, Bank of Tennessee can exchange images received from its branch and merchant locations in compliance with Check 21. eDesk Genesis allows Bank of Tennessee to exchange electronic cash letters with images directly, through exchange organizations, or print substitute checks if an endpoint cannot receive electronic cash letters.
