The bank's presence in Mexico has been expanding in recent years. In 1995, it opened a corporate banking subsidiary, Bank of America-Mexico, S.A., to provide commercial and capital markets services in both pesos and U.S. dollars.

Vice President Lorenzo Gonzalez, the bank's business director in Mexico, added that "our strategy is to expand our services to this region's growing businesses and continue serving them as they become tomorrow's major corporations."
