LIVERPOOL THE talented photographers of the Daily Post's Flickr group have been busy capturing the life and soul of our region this week.

Among the most colourful of photographs is Kap'n'Kaos's collection of shots of pavement art.

As Liverpool once again became the capital of music over the bank holiday, the city's longstanding Fringe Festival also attracted the crowds.

Using only coloured chalks, the artists brightened up the walls of Heebie Jeebies, The Zanzibar and other venues.

Meanwhile, dangerous disco was out at this year's huge Creamfields music Festival.

The success of The X-Files on the FOX Network proved there was an audience for genre shows, resulting in the NBC Network commissioning this proposed  provided the perfect background for dangerous disco's arty photographs.

After spending 16 hours editing his photographs from the Saturday, his shot of the fairground shows the fast-paced buzz of the festival perfectly.

And while Merseyside was alive with the many events and music festivals, G Lloyd was out shooting a more serene but active scene of city life.

Their clever photo of three of the many skateboarders wheeling around the city gives only a hint of movement.

G Lloyd has managed to freeze the monochrome skaters in their gravity defying stances, in the forefront of the towering John Lewis store at Liverpool One.
