Bank ambassadors dedicated to female entrepreneurs; in association with BUSINESS.


A GROUP of business advisors in Wales is aiming to revolutionise the way female entrepreneurs are supported by their bank.

Annette Shinner, Women in Business Ambassador for North Wales North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England. , is part of a team formed by RBS RBS Royal Bank of Scotland

The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc (Scottish Gaelic: Banca Rìoghail na h-Alba
, as it became the only UK bank group to offer relationship managers dedicated to female entrepreneurs.

Like all RBS' ambassadors, she is dedicated to supporting and developing female enterprise as part of the group's Women in Business, launched in response to the continuing lack of female entrepreneurs in the small business sector. Women represent only a third of the UK's self employed.

Rhos on Sea-based Ms Shinner said: "I know there are women out there with a great business idea who lack the confidence to take it further. I can help them overcome initial hurdles."

She provides free face-to-face advice and says she understands first hand the market in which her customers operate.
