(OTCBB:ORTG) announced today that the Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is now online with Orion's A-Net, a secure and private Intranet designed to link the 79 member banks of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP).

This development follows the installation by Orion of a secure international link between Orion's headquarters in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada and the Malaysian network control center in Kuala Lumpur. Orion has established a Malaysian office that is equipped with dedicated servers that are online 24 hours a day.

This is the second dedicated line across the Pacific that Orion has established. The first was between Vancouver and Manila. Such dedicated lines provide a high level of security for secure critical financial or business transactions, while offering consistent response times.

Bank Pembangunan is the first of six ADFIAP member banks to go online with the A-Net. Now that the groundwork has been accomplished with Bank Pembangunan, the remaining ADFIAP member banks in Malaysia are expected to come online by the end of 1998, according to management of Orion.
