Bank Of The West Acquires Pebble Beach Branch From Coast Federal Bank.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 12, 1997--The $5 billion Bank of the West, California's fifth largest bank, announced today that is has signed a definitive letter of agreement to acquire the Pebble Pebble - A polymorphic language.

 regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of this year. At that time, the branch will operate as part of the Bank's 104 branch Northern California Northern California, sometimes referred to as NorCal, is the northern portion of the U.S. state of California. The region contains the San Francisco Bay Area, the state capital, Sacramento; as well as the substantial natural beauty of the redwood forests, the northern  network. Bank of the West will offer employment to all employees of the acquired office. The only change that the Bank has planned for this office -- one of only two banks in Pebble Beach -- is the installation of an ATM. The Bank, with 1,787 employees, reported year-end 1996 earnings of $44 million.
