Bank LED display signs offer greater energy efficiency.

Banks that previously used incandescent display signs are converting to more energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) displays, according to Daktronics of Brookings, S.D. An example is the Bremer Bank of St. Cloud, Minn., which recently upgraded two locations with Galaxy AF-3180 displays. The displays feature shading capability for graphics.

The bank qualified for the energy rebate from Xcel Energy, which assisted in the decision to upgrade. The bank uses the displays to promote Bremer products, to display community events the bank sponsors and to display additional area announcements. Bank personnel use Venus 1500 control software to update the displays.
