Bank Calumet acquisition retention campaign.

[ILLUSTRATION OMITTED]

Institution: First Midwest Bank, Itasca, III.

In May 2006, First Midwest Bank acquired Bank Calumet in Northwest Indiana. The bank's goal was to maintain the high level of service to which Bank Calumet clients were accustomed and to simplify conversion issues, minimizing client defection.

The bank determined that three things mattered, most to Bank Calumet constituents: community, values and success. These became the backbone of the bank's message to these new clients.
