[Gem Symbolism: Jobes, 81] Arachne , AIB decided to ignore Brian Lenihan's call for a EUR500,000 salary cap and a clear-out of the top brass who brought banks to the brink. Their behaviour isn't all that surprising given the special treatment that this Government has been giving bankers since the crisis erupted. Our politicians forget they've been elected to protect the interests of taxpayers who are being lumped with this debt, not the wealthy bankers. If Mr Lenihan doesn't take a firm stance now, then we can expect more of this behaviour from bankers who are only out for themselves. |
