Bangor abandon.

Bangor have been forced to abandon their meeting scheduled for tomorrow after the track failed an inspection.

Following last week's heavy rain, the River Dee burst its banks and parts of the track have remained unraceable since.

The force of the water, which was six feet deep in places, brought silt and other debris on to the racecourse, damaging some fences.

"Despite sterling efforts to carry out all the repairs, Friday will come just too soon, so the stewards have had no alternative but to abandon the meeting," said racecourse manager Jeannie Chantler.
