CAR dealerships say the Government's car scrapping scheme has stimulated interest in new vehicles - despite two major manufacturers delaying their involvement in the initiative. Under the scheme cars that are more than 10-years-old can now be scrapped in return for a pounds 2,000 discount on a new model.
