Bandspeed Selects Tavant Technologies for Product Development Center in India.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Bandspeed, the leader in Wi-Fi management platforms for the business mass market, today announced that the company has partnered with Tavant Technologies to set up a dedicated offshore development center in Bangalore, India. The Bangalore center will allow Bandspeed to continue to scale its product development and engineering efforts to meet the immediate go-to-market needs of OEM and ODM customers.

Bandspeed demonstrated its growth and market momentum to potential ODM and OEM customers through the recent launch of its AirMaestro Wi-Fi access point (AP) platform, and successful demonstrations of the AirMaestro solution at the 2006 Interop Tokyo conference. The partnership with Tavant will allow Bandspeed to attract an experienced team of world-class developers to expand the development of a solution that ODMs and OEMs have been waiting for -- a WLAN solution that provides enterprise-class Wi-Fi networks for the mass market at an affordable price.
