About InfiniBand Architecture

InfiniBand architecture is an industry standards-based interconnection technology that dramatically increases scalability, reliability and flexibility of server and storage systems used in modern networks. InfiniBand architecture is expected to replace Ethernet, Fiber Channel, and proprietary solutions in the chassis-to-chassis interconnect domain in today's storage and server networks. InfiniBand architecture provides a universal interconnect fabric enabling new, lower cost, higher performance, and reliable networks that are not possible today.
