Bandai Networks and Realeyes3D Announce Partnership to Market "Super Digitizer" Mobile Phone Imaging Application Suite.

PARIS & TOKYO -- Bandai Networks Co., Ltd. and Realeyes3D jointly announced today that the companies have agreed to cooperate to supply Realeyes3D's image creation application suite "Super Digitizer(TM)" to network operators and mobile phone handset manufacturers. This partnership will allow Bandai Networks to develop and promote exciting new content and utilities for camera phone users in Japan, and both partners will provide support to carriers and handset manufacturers to make "Super Digitizer" available on their handsets.

Today in Japan, over 60% of mobile phone owners use their camera phones as "personal memo-taking devices," when they take still photos, according to a survey of camera phone users by Goo Research. It has become very common for users to snap photos of train station timetables and whiteboard memos as an easy way to take notes, instead of writing the information down. However, this information is hard to read even if the photo is taken in high resolution and the image enlarged, and users have increasingly been looking for a way to save the image in an easier-to-read format. * SD Document Capture, for taking quick, clear copies of handwritten notes, meeting notes on white boards, or printed information and storing them on the phone. In addition, users can organize various types of text information captured with their cameraphone as documents on their phones, in their own personal way.

* SD Handwritten Messaging allows users to snap handwritten messages in two clicks and send them to any other phone. Users can utilize the handwritten message content they have saved as memos in greeting card emails, or even as photo overlays, HTML emails, and other custom user interfaces. The messages can include not only text, but diagrams, maps, logos, and other material not necessarily written with pen and paper.

* SD Stamp Maker and SD Icon Maker, to create "stamps" and "icons", small personal bitmap images that can then be reused as a decoration on other pictures, in messages such as "NTT DecoMail[R]" or "Magic Wanda[TM]", or as icons to personalize the phone users interface itself;

* SD PopArt, for creating fun and artistic pictures by transforming photos into "pop art"-like pictures, in one click.
