Band-Ore Resources Ltd. new acquisitions add significant reserves to Band-Ore's Labrador Trough properties.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SEPTEMBER 7, 1995--BAND-ORE RESOURCES LTD LTD 1 Laron-type dwarfism 2 Leukotriene D 3 Long-term depression, see there 4. Long-term disability (CANADIAN DEALING NETWORK Canadian Dealing Network (CDN)

The organized OTC market of Canada. Formerly known as the Canadian Over-the-Counter Automated Trading System (COATS), the CDN became a subsidiary of the Toronto Stock Exchange in 1991.
: BNDR) Band-Ore Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce the significant acquisition of a 100 percent interest in a polymetallic deposit in the Labrador Trough in northern Quebec. The property is located north of Schefferville Quebec, south of Ungava Bay Ungava Bay (ŭng'gä`və, –gā`–), inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, N Que., Canada, extending c.200 mi (320 km) S from Hudson Strait between the N Quebec mainland and the north tip of the Labrador peninsula.  and approximately half way between the Voisey Bay deposit of Diamondfields and the Raglan deposit of Falconbridge.

The deposit is located within the boundaries of Band-Ore's recently acquired O.B.C. property. This polymetallic deposit consists of two mineralized min·er·al·ize

zones. The north zone contains 1,152,000 million tonnes averaging 2.0 percent copper, 2.31 percent zinc, 0.42 percent lead, 0.09 percent cobalt, 2 grams per ton gold and 38 grams per ton silver. The south zone is estimated at 4,578,000 tons grading 1.4 percent copper, 1.7 percent zinc, 0.10 percent lead, 0.08 percent cobalt, 1.5 grams per ton gold and 23 grams per ton silver. The principal sulphides in the deposit are pyrite pyrite (pī`rīt) or iron pyrites (pīrī`tēz, pə–, pī`rīts), pale brass-yellow mineral, the bisulfide of iron, FeS2. , pyrrhotite pyrrhotite (pĭr`ətīt) or magnetic pyrites, bronze-yellow to bronze-red mineral, a sulfide of iron sometimes containing nickel. It tarnishes easily and is somewhat magnetic. , chalcopyrite, sphalerite sphalerite (sfăl`ərīt, sfā`–), mineral composed of zinc sulfide, usually containing some iron and a little cadmium. It occurs in crystals of the isometric system but more generally in cleavable, compact masses.  and galena galena (gəlē`nə) or lead glance, lustrous, blue-gray mineral crystallizing usually in cubes, sometimes in octahedrons. It is the most important ore and the principal source of lead. . A number of other significant surface showings of copper-nickel, and copper-zinc and copper are reported on the property that covers 15 km of favourable geology.

The property was recently optioned to First Western Minerals Inc. which can earn a 51 percent interest in the property. First Western recently completed an airborne survey covering the entire property. A number of very strong conductors, from 500 m to 1100 m in length, have been identified on strike to the north and south of the newly acquired deposit. Fields' crews are currently mapping and sampling the property in the areas of the newly discovered conductors and other known mineralized occurrences.

Airborne surveys were never completed in the past on the property. In addition, down hole time domain EM surveys were not done as part of the routine exploration drilling on the property. Hence, the area surrounding the limited number of drill holes has not been thoroughly tested either geologically or geophysically and the potential to discover other massive sulphide lenses in the immediate area of the new acquired deposit is considered excellent.

The O.B.C. property includes 20 very strong conducting axes within the Upper Iron Formation, many of which are multi-station. Two very strong axes are located between one and three km south east of the South zone: the first has three readings of 212 - 278 seimens and the second has four readings of 101 - 205 seimens. Two other very strong axes are hosted by an adjacent band west of the South zone: one located two and one half km south west contains three readings of 101 - 204 seimens, the other located one and one half km north west of the South zone contains four readings of 198 - 216 seimens. In comparison, the South zone deposit registers up to 182 seimens.

Band-Ore also has a 100 percent interest in the Due Diligence Research; analysis; your homework. This term has caught on in all industries, because it sounds so "wired." Band-Ore has recently acquired more claims within the boundaries of the Due Diligence property that now has three (3) known zones containing approximately 1.74 million tons of 1.50 percent copper and 0.33 percent nickel mineralization Mineralization

The Due Diligence property has also been optioned to First Western Minerals Inc. which can earn a 51 percent interest in the property. First Western recently conducted an airborne survey over the entire property and has identified a number of newly discovered airborne conductors along the strike of the favourable geological horizon Noun 1. geological horizon - a layer of rock with a particular composition (especially of fossils); for dating the stratum
horizon - a specific layer or stratum of soil or subsoil in a vertical cross section of land
. Field crews are currently mapping and sampling in the area of the newly discovered conductors.

Both Band-Ore's properties now cover over 26 km of geological formations that are considered to be extremely favourable of hosting economic base metal mineralization.

Given the exceptional results from the airborne survey, First Western plans to commence a drilling program the week of September 20, 1995 through early December, 1995. Ground crews have been sampling for the last two weeks and arrangements have been made to occupy a hunting lodge adjacent to an airstrip, located to the south of the O.B.C. project.
