    Ongoing exploration programs are continuing on the Company's
properties that surround the Thorne property.  Battle Mountain Gold
(formerly Hemlo Gold Mines Inc.) and Green-Ice Corporation have
commenced drilling on properties optioned from Band-Ore that are
located to the west of the Thorne property.  Teck Exploration Ltd.
and Sedex Mining Corp.  have commenced drilling programs on the
Company's properties located to the north of the Thorne property.
Southern Africa Minerals Corporation and Abitibi Mining Corp. will
resume drilling programs in the near future.
    In other area exploration programs, Holmer Gold Mines announced
drill results last week with assay results as high as 0.83 ounces
gold per ton (28.4 g/t) over 13.1 feet (4 m).  The Holmer property is
located immediately to the north of the Thorne property and the
results significantly enhance the prospects of the Timmins West camp.
Band-Ore Resources is a Canadian exploration Company that holds one
of the largest land positions in the Timmins, Ontario gold camp.  The
Timmins gold camp is the largest gold producing camp in North America
having produced in excess of 60,000,000 ounces of gold since 1908.
Band-Ore also owns a 100 percent interest in the Shebandowan gold
deposit west of Thunder Bay.
