Band-Ore Resources Ltd. High Grade Gold at Depth.TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 3, 1997--Band-Ore Resources L(TSE See Tokyo Stock Exchange. TSE 1. See Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE). 2. See Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE). BAN.) Diamond drilling Diamond Drilling is a highly specialized industry used for mineral exploration around the world. Most commonly using wireline and core bits with diamond encrusted matrix. To drill holes to max depths of twelve thousand feet, for the recovery of core used in verifying mineral on the Company's 100 percent owned Thorne Property in Timmins, Ontario This article is about city in Ontario, Canada. For other uses, see Timmins (disambiguation). Timmins, with a population of 42,997 (2006), is a city in northeastern Ontario, Canada on the Mattagami River. At 2,961. has intersected high grade gold values in drill hole TH97-234 that assayed up to 1.4 ounces gold per ton (47.8 g/t) over 3.3 feet (1 metre) at a vertical depth of over 1400 feet (430 meters) below surface. This is the deepest diamond drill intersection on the Thorne Property to date. This hole was located 50 meters west of drill hole TH97-233 that intersected identical sulphide sulphide: see sulfide. rich gold mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. at a vertical depth of 1300 feet (400 meters) below surface. This zone remains open to the east, west and to depth. The Company is currently focusing diamond drilling in an area located between section 43+00 east and 48+00 east (the area was not included in the initial resource calculation) where a number of drill intersections contain elevated gold values and where continuity of mineralization is apparent. In addition, visible gold has been identified in two drill holes TH97-235 and 236 that have recently been completed on section 45+00 east (200 meters east of drill hole TH97-234). These drill holes further demonstrate the continuity of mineralization in this area. Assay results from these drill holes will be included in the next resource update which is expected by the end of September. Management is confident that this high grade corridor will enhance the overall grade of the deposits and will significantly add to the mineral resource that has been previously reported. In July, 1997 the Company announced a preliminary resource calculation of approximately 340,000 ounces of gold to a vertical depth of 600 feet (180 metres) from the Golden River West Zone and a small portion of the Golden River East Zone. This resource calculation and the update later this month covers a limited portion of the gold mineralization identified on this large property, i.e. less than 25 percent of the potential strike length and less than 20 percent of the depth potential normally experienced in the Timmins mining camp where gold has been mined in excess of 5,000 feet (1,500 metres) below surface, i.e. the McIntyre, Hollinger and Dome Mines Dome Mine is situated in the City of Timmins, Ontario, Canada; now known as part of Porcupine Joint Venture. The original Dome Mine (Tisdale Township) was still operating as of July 2007, its life is slowly coming to an end as the ore is dwindling and quickly becoming . Management of the Company will be updating mining analysts and fund managers over the balance of the month about our current and planned exploration programs. Updated drill sections for lines 43+00 and 43+50 east are available upon request or by visiting our website.
