Band-Ore Resources Ltd. - Open Pit Potential.TORONTO, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 1995--BAND-ORE RESOURCES LTD(CANADIAN DEALING NETWORK: BNDR ) Band-Ore Resources Ltd. (The "Company") is pleased to announce initial assay results from a Phase II exploration program on the Company's 100 percent owned OBC OBC - Obligations à Bon de Conversion OBC - Obscured by Clouds (Pink Floyd album) OBC - Ocean Bottom Cable OBC - Off-Boresight Compensation OBC - Office of Bar Counsel OBC - Officer Basic Course OBC - Officer Billet Code OBC - Old Boy's Club OBC - On Board Computer OBC - On-Orbit Calibrator OBC - One Button Checkup (Norton Utilities) OBC - Online Business Center OBC - Onslaught Block Constructed (gaming) OBC - Ontario Building Code property located in the Labrador Trough area of Northeastern Quebec. The program consisted of reconnaissance drilling of 13 airborne geophysical anomalies and trench sampling of the "B" zone. Fifteen drill holes were completed on 9 anomalies. The Company has identified 3 zones in a porphyrtic gabbro gabbro: see basalt. sill formation, the A, B, and C zones. First Western Minerals (FWyVSE) (the project operator) reports the following: The "A" zone has potential for a large tonnage low grade Low grade A bond with a rating of B or lower.
open pit deposit. The "B" and "C" zones are
higher grade with undefined parameters at this point. Results on the
"A" zone where 5 holes were drilled over a 4,000 foot long
fence confirmed the presence of a large disseminated low grade deposit.
Assay results were as follows: -0-Hole No. From - To (Ft.) Interval (Ft.) Cu-percent Ni-percent _________ _______________ ______________ __________ __________ OBL 95-04 23 - 88 65 0.25 0.12 OBL 95-05 54 - 191 137 0.34 0.15 OBL 95-06 30 - 131 101 0.26 0.17 OBL 95-07 33 - 121 88 0.28 0.12 OBL 95-10 142 - 276 134 0.30 0.12
Trenching from the "B" zone over a 1,400 foot strike length has
returned the following results:
Trench Width (Ft.) Cu - percent Ni - percent ______ ___________ ____________ ____________ A 33 2.20 0.70 B 37 2.12 0.58 C 27 1.58 0.56 D 25 1.74 0.44 E 15 1.79 0.36 F 13 0.99 0.51 G 10 1.07 0.55 H 7 3.36 0.56 -0- Assays for Cobalt are not completed at this stage. The above results, combined with interpretation of geological and airborne magnetic data, suggest that the OBC "A" and "B" zones form a single tabular mineralized zone approximately 100 feet thick and measuring at least 4,800 feet x 2,100 feet. This body offers potential for a large tonnage open pit mining operation. The "C" zone located 1,100 feet southeast of the "A" and "B" zone may form part of this contiguous mineralized zone and therefore significantly increase the tonnage and grade potential of this area. First Western is currently conducting ground geophysics on the "B" and "C" zones in addition to 2 other new magnetic anomalies located west of the "A" and "B" zones. Upon completion of the geophysical survey, drilling will continue this month to test the "B" and "C" zones as well as the potential continuity of all the mineralized areas. First Western can earn a 51 percent interest in the property by spending $1.5 million on exploration and making cash payments totaling $500,000.00 over 3 years; It may acquire an additional 29 percent interest by making an additional cash payment of $2,000,000.00 to the Company.
