Band on the radio.

X factor finalists G4 make their radio presenting debuts on Classic FM on Bank Holiday Monday.

The top band - featuring former Huddersfield student Matt Stiff - talk about their whirlwind rise to fame and choose some of their favourite pieces of classical music.

Beginning at 6pm on Bank Holiday Monday, the hour-long programme will showcase some of the opera band's favourite pieces of classical music, which show more than a passing regard for some of the great classical singers of the last two decades.

Recordings by Pavarotti, Bryn Terfel and fellow pin-up Juan Diego Florez all feature.

A spokesman for G4 said: "We're really excited about joining Classic FM this Bank Holiday Monday.

"We've been tuning into Classic FM since we were all students together at the Guildhall School of Music, so it's great to be joining the station for this special programme.

"We'll be sharing some of our favourite classical pieces of music along with a couple of tracks from our album."

Matt, 24, studied for his music degree at Huddersfield university.
