Band of brothers strut their stuff.THE JONAS BROTHERS PITCHED as a "rockumentary rock·u·men·ta·ry n. pl. rock·u·men·ta·ries A documentary about rock music or rock musicians. [Blend of rock2 and documentary.] ", The Jonas Brothers 3D Movie Concert Experience plays more like a 76-minute extended pop video, filmed as part of the trios' Burnin' Up concert at New York's Madison Square Garden Current arenas in the National Hockey League Western Conference Eastern Conference . It's a case of duck or you'll be Jonased as the boys playfully throw plectrums, twirl mic stands and, at one point, the clean-living lads wield a fire hose and spray it over the fans. The 3D dimension is purely a novelty factor but adds some extra value to the price of a ticket. We're also shown what I'm reliably told is a neverbefore-seen "insight" into the lives of Kevin, Joe and Nick. This footage is sandwiched between the film's concert performances but it sheds little light into what actually makes the boys tick. Still, it's funny to see the "fandemonium" the boys stir up wherever they go and it also helps break up the monotony of their bland music. Sorry boys, for fear of sounding like an old fuddyduddy, I thought the majority of their pop rock songs sounded pretty much the same. But this film wasn't made for me. It was made for their fans, who will love it. CAPTION(S): SINGING STAR: Joe Jonas |
